Holiday Inn Fargo Celebrates Its Grand Re-Opening

On Tuesday, January 31, 2017, after almost an entire year of renovations, Holiday Inn Fargo General Manager Mike Prekel and his whole team celebrated the Grand-Reopening of the hotel and revealed the beautiful new updates to the rooms, meeting and public spaces.

The VIP event was attended by community leaders, loyal customers, ownership and Media. All three main TV network stations in Fargo did segments during the local news as well as local radio personalities made mentions on air and through social media the day after the event.


A tremendous amount of thought and planning went into the hotel’s renovation, ensuring that the final product delivered new experiences for today’s hotel travelers while at the same time providing the classic comforts and amenities that the Holiday Inn Brand provides.  The result is a hotel that will exceed in delivering a great customer experience in all facets.


The Holiday Inn Fargo renovation includes:

  • •  Remodeling of all guest rooms.

  • •  Complete re-doing of all guest corridors.

  • •  Remodeling of the lobby, front desk and all commercial space to include the Great Hall, Harvest Hall and Dakota Hall as well as the Mezzanine facilities.

  • •  Remodeling of the restaurant and lounge.

  • •  Upgrade of the music/audio system in the lounge.

  • •  Upgrade the audio/visual abilities in the Commercial Space facilities.  Allows for a wider ability of plugins and guest needs for video/audio.

  • •  New signage throughout the hotel.

  • •  A facelift of the exterior of the building – includes the Porta’Cache. 

  • •  Refined color palette on all designs and furnishings.
  • •  New room number assignments.
